Three Shades AND Two Textures?

Three Shades AND Two Textures?

20/05/2018

A large majority of our business comes via recommendations and referrals and this project is no different. This kitchen 'Design and Install' was for a lovely couple in Giffnock, in Glasgow's South Side. At the initial meeting, we were asked if we could make the space 'more functional' and we knew exactly why they would be looking for this. As you can see in the pictures below it was a bit tired and some of the appliances and cupboards could have done with some repositioning. On top of this overaching request, we had some more specific ones thrown in. Like an American Fridge Freezer, A Classic Look and An Island!

Before Pictures.

At Glenlith Interiors we pride ourselves in our delivery of quality bespoke kitchens and the word QUALITY is not to be compromised in any shape or form. However, we also understand that not everyone has 'very large' budgets to suit their dream kitchen idea. For this particular kitchen we were clear, from the outset, as to what budget we had to work with. This is extremely important as it can save a lot of valuable time in the design process.

In our opinion, measuring up is one of the most important aspects in Kitchen Design. This has to be perfect... a few millimetres can make the difference between having an island or not! We will never apologise for being 'too pedantic' - we really are perfectionists.
After we conducted our Laser Measuring we got to work on a CAD design.

Whilst showing our client the CAD visual we talked them through the options that could be removed or added. This can range from changing a cupboard to drawers, adding in mechanisms, Belfast or undermount sink, to name but a few.

The door style is a plain shaker five-piece. To add a little style we used three shades of colour, Light Grey, Soft Cream and Bold Graphite. Marbled stone for main worktops and solid Oak for the island. As you can see we have used curved radius ends to finish the kitchen runs. Radius ends not only look great but they can give you an extra couple of millimetres to allow a comfortable pass space.

A magic corner has been used to make best use of the corner space with Two Blum pull out towers either side of American Fridge Freezer. We also installed a double larder to house the boiler and washing machine with a tumble dryer on top using a stack system. For the floor we have used Quayside Oak LVT alongside our signature LED light system to finish off this revamped room. I'm sure you will agree that this is an absolutely beautiful kitchen.

The window shutters were installed by our friends at the Glasgow Shutter Company.

This was a great job to have worked on. Super clients and we look forward to working with them again in the near future!

And the really fun part of this project?

The clients handed us the keys and went on holiday to Florida for Two weeks! There faces when they first saw their new kitchen were fantastic. Someone should commission a TV show around that idea ; )
