Our Kitchen Ranges

A BLAST OF SUMMER, ALL YEAR LONG

This is our recent design & install for our client in Chelsea, London.

The kitchen now, was a dated dining room, and the existing kitchen, was just too small for family gatherings......Let's reverse the layout!!!

Our client explained, they love cooking, and socialising with family, when in London, we had to get this one right!

Our client is a fan of a clean, crisp, modern look. We decided to use the Ultragloss White door, with glass effect edge. This door gives a stunning look when opened, as well as a visual contrast when closed. On the main long run, a balance for sink & hob had to be considered, so getting induction hob in the centre was not going to happen. The design stemmed from the induction hob. The hob area was 900mm wide comprising of a makeup using 600mm Neff induction hob and 300mm Neff domino wok burner. The extractor used is the stunning "Barre" Stainless Inox, by Elicia. As the gas burner was introduced, at a later stage, the clearance for wall units had an effect, regarding balance and regulation. On the rear elevation, we decided to house the French style American fridge-freezer between two appliance housings. In one housing we used a Neff slide & hide oven and Miele Nespresso coffee machine, on adjacent, we used identical Neff slide & hide oven with matching Neff, combi micro/oven above. This balanced out very well. On the main elevation, we decided, there is no better space, than drawer space. Below the hob, a 1000mm three drawer pack, with 900mm three drawer pack either side. We loaded the Blum drawers with cutlery inserts, plate peg boards, and box section compartments. The blind corner took a top spec LED swing out storage, and a cargo bin in return unit. At the other end, a reduced depth unit to allow structural opening around kitchen doors, with sink base unit, under mount sink, 100-degree tap with filtered drinking water, pull out multi-purpose storage rack and Miele dishwasher. Work surface is Samsung Radianz "Diamond White" in 30mm.

An island was requested, but the area was just too small. We compromised.....Look at its many positions in photos. We introduced the Kessibohmer "Climbers" on either side of the extractor. Run a hand under the sensor, and the blades of glass open. The "climbers" are a non-standard size, so we manufactured the kitchen wall units and doors to suit, as well as wrapping with matching panels to blend in....Precision routeing required there!

Finally, we decided to add a blast of colour. There was no better way than using glass for the theme. On a recent design course, we gathered some interesting information from leading paint manufacturers, such inc, Farrow & Ball, Dulux, and Crown. They were explaining, when the economy is low, sales of darker tones, such as Greys & Browns go up, but now the economy is back on track, brighter colours will be all the fashion....We always try to stay ahead. "Babouche", by Farrow & Ball it is!

I think this kitchen will have a "summer feel" all year long...Don't you think????
